PROVIDENCE – Once again this year, children in the Diocese of Providence’s 45 elementary schools are invited to draw a scene depicting the holy season of Christmas.
The winning drawing will be featured on the cover of Bishop Tobin’s Christmas card that will be sent to Bishop’s Partnership in Charity donors. The artist of the chosen card will receive a $200 United States savings bond.
The Office of Stewardship & Development is sponsoring this ninth annual contest. Guidelines were sent to school principals. Students in grades 5-8 have been invited to participate. All submissions will be drawn on an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of white paper, will include a title or caption, and will be identified with the artist’s name and school written on the back of the picture. The Office of Stewardship and Development must receive all drawings no later than Friday, October 10, 2008.
